Our website is now live!

Happy Thursday, dear subscribers! You guys are the first to officially hear about our excitement: after a lot of work behind-the-scenes, we’ve launched the website for Our Spiritual Family!

The day the site went live, August 19th, was the feast of St. John Eudes: founder of the Eudists and another religious order of sisters. St. John was receptive to God’s will to establish meaningful communities, and that’s what we want to do here too. His radical willingness to collaborate with God (whether the timing felt “perfect” or not), feels like the path this mission has taken as well.
Unlike St. John Eudes, however, our path to physical, in-person community also has an online platform.

What you’ll find on the site
We’ve laid out the basics of our ministry and some background, like

• Our vision and mission, right at the top of the home page
• Introductions to our current team members (Annie, our lead coach, and our lead editor Mariah)
• A more in-depth answer to the question: so what is a Spiritual Family?
• The spirituality behind Annie’s approach to rich, Catholic community life, based primarily on JPII’s “spirituality of communion” and the 10 pillars of Gospel living
• The 7-step methodology behind organically building Spiritual Families, inspired by Marian spirituality

You’ll also find ways to take your first steps in establishing a new community or growing a current one:

• Explore Annie’s three main coaching packages
• Read more specific, specialty coaching topics for your unique needs (have you ever needed help identifying your vision, mission, or values for your own community?)
• Fill out the inquiry form to start a coaching program with Annie, or to ask a few initial questions
• Read real-life testimonies from people who have worked previously with Annie to build meaningful, Catholic community

And other features:

• If you’re someone who has worked with Annie before, submit a review of your experience so we can share it on the site!

Our dreams for this ministry are wide, enthusiastic, and varied, and we have a lot of ongoing projects just waiting to be launched (in God’s time!), including:

• Individual, specific resources to help support your Spiritual Families
• Weekly Scripture reflections on the upcoming Sunday Mass readings for group discussion - share with your Bible study or small group!
• A YouTube channel
• Larger curriculums
• And, of course, more encouraging, real-life, and community-centered content on our Substack newsletter.

From the very beginning, Our Spiritual Family as a ministry and a dream has been a growing Spiritual Family itself. That means that just like the methodology we share on the website, we’ve been following the steps ourselves, consecrating and emptying this space digitally, emotionally, and spiritually. And we’ve been praying and trying our best to be receptive with whatever God desires to fill it with.
Thank you for being part of our Spiritual Family here at OSF. Without you, there is no reason for us to launch this website or this ministry. We hope that you’ll be inspired to dive deeper into your own communities, spiritual life, and discernment. And that, one soul at a time, we can work together to establish vibrant Catholic communities that fill the isolating void so many people feel today –whether that’s at parishes, businesses, or in the living rooms of family homes.
Like Pope Saint John Paul II wrote:

“Let us have no illusions: unless we follow this spiritual path, external structures of communion will serve very little purpose. They would become mechanisms without a soul, "masks" of communion rather than its means of expression and growth."
