Career Discernment

I started working with Annie about five months ago, as I am nearing the end of my PhD program. I wanted to be prepared and understand what my next career step could be, while acknowledging that God has a plan for me and that I need to figure out what it is. Annie has been excellent, a great listener, understanding, and sweet, but also blunt and direct. She has been challenging me in ways I didn't expect, but were exactly what I needed the most. I didn't realize before I started that there were other personal issues in my mind, and that I lacked praying skills more than I thought.  While I'm still figuring out my next career move, I have found that things are aligning without me even overthinking it too much. I feel as if God is taking the wheel while I work on my other issues, and this has reassured me that there's a plan for me and that I need to be open to it. Annie's coaching exceeded my expectations because, in a way, she helps open the communication with our biggest coach of all, and being able to reach out to Him is a transcendental skill that I didn't know I lacked, and now I'm doing my best to develop and retain.​
